The Organizing Committee and Scientific Program committee is proud to present ICN 2009’s scientific program, which addresses the theme “Nutrition Security for All.” The program addresses nutrition as an integrative science, linking with other disciplines such as biomedical and life sciences; food and agriculture; social and behavioral sciences to engage and advance evidence-based policies and programs within comprehensive food and health delivery systems. Aside from plenary and symposia formats, the congress also features award lectures, cascade lectures, dialogues, panel discussions, workshops, special sessions and roundtable discussions.

A total of 300 internationally renowned speakers from all continents will share their experiences and discuss future challenges that stem from basic research to policy and program applications. Furthermore, 200 oral presentations (free communications) will feature the latest findings in nutrition science and related disciplines. Approximately 400 posters will be exhibited per day in addition to 200 distinguished poster presentations. A number of organizations pledged financial support to reward young investigators from developing countries to present their research as oral presentations or distinguished posters.
