Drive to Chinatown for a guided walking tour of the area. During this walk, you pass Chinese shrines, colorful markets, narrow lanes with tiny shops and houses. Chinatown has been the main Chinese trading centre since the Chinese community was moved from its old site more than 200 years ago to make way for the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew complex. Then visit the flower market at Pak Klong Talad. A stop will also be made at Wat Suthat with its superb carved wooden doors and the remains of beautiful murals dating from the reign of Rama III (1842- 1851). In front of the temple is the tall, spectacular Giant Swing. Then return to the hotel.

Then visit the recently restored Loha Prasat (Metal Pavilion) at Wat Ratchanadda on Mahachai Road. This Royal Temple was built in the reign of King Rama III in 1846. Situated nearby are a pavilion where the Bangkok governor welcomes visiting Heads of State and a memorial statue of King Rama III.

The highlight of this full-day excursion is a visit to the remote forest temple of Wat Pha Luangtabua some 160 kms from Bangkok. This is one of the most extraordinary sights you will ever see in Thailand, and is probably unique in the world. Day 1:
Depart from Bangkok Airport for Chiang Mai
Spend half day visiting the sacred mountaintop temple of Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep and a picturesque Meo hilltribe village.
Day 2:
Visit the famous Thai Celadon Kiln and see exquisite high-fired stoneware being handmade by traditional methods. See Thai silk and cotton being woven on handlooms by pretty girls of Sankampaeng and the colorful paper and parasols makers of Bor Sarng. See also lacquerware, teak-wood carving and silverware making.
Day 3:
Leave Chiang Mai for Tha Ton landing on the Mae Kok River and see elephants at work en route. Then take a scenic trip by longtail boat to Chiang Rai, making stops at various hilltribe villages along the way. Lunch and soft drinks are provided. Dinner and overnight in Chiang Rai.
Day 4:

Day 1

In the afternoon, visit Wat Tham Sua (Tiger Cave Monastery), a quiet secluded spot where Buddhist monks practice meditation. Their living quarters are very small huts or caves in the interior of a ring of tree-covered cliffs shaped rather like a doughnut, which is reached by a short climb via well-made concrete steps leading up the outside and down to the central inner area. Then visit Hat Noppharat Thara, one of Krabi’s most beautiful beaches, and a shell cemetery.
Day 2
Excursion by speed boat to visit several beautiful offshore islands such as Poda Island, Chicken Island, Tab Island and Phra Nang Beach. Ample time will be allowed for swimming and sunbathing. Picnic lunch will be provided.
